| Hr2Payroll is a complete solution to all payroll and tax problems. We offer features like TDS calculator, HRA/PF calculator, Gratuity calculator, and complete freedom to store employee details, relieving employee’s details, salary components and much more. You simply have to setup your company details and employee details once, after that our application automatically calculates and generates all reports. |

| Yes, Hr2Payroll Software can be customized. Hr2Payroll Software has all the features required to run an organization; if customization is required, we do it. |

| No, Hr2Payroll Software is not version specific. Whenever new features are released or added it is immediately updated into the existing system and made available to all the clients. |

| No. Hr2Payroll.com does not review, share, distribute, print, or reference your data. |
| How can I be sure my data won’t be lost? |
| We back up your data with a variety of methods to ensure that your organization does not experience any data loss. Your data is kept on two hard disks on same server using RAID1 technology. In case one hard disk fails, data is available from second hard disk. Also our IT Infrastructure team backup server data every 24-48 hrs at day. This data is kept on backup servers. In case of server failure, your data will be restored from backup server. |
| Will I see a degradation in performance as Hr2Payroll’s subscriber base grows? |
| No. We are very conscious of performance and have designed the service to be scalable in such a way that we can constantly stay ahead of customer demand. We have incorporated multi-threading technologies in our Software to speed up various processes and reports generation capabilities and during such processes the normal user does not see any dip in the response time. In addition, our facility that houses our servers provides us with guaranteed bandwidth, which we can increase as needed. |

| How do I Sign-up for Hr2Payroll Software? |
| Go to Service Plan option in menu or click on http://www.hr2payroll.com/service-plan.php . Choose the suitable plan, click on Signup and Fill your personal and billing information. We request you to fill the correct information so that we can reach you easily for account verification process. |
| What is Account Verification and Activation Process? |
| We verify the information given by you while signup for an account. Our Customer Care Representative will give you a call confirming your identity, after that your account will get activated. |
| Do you offer Free Trial? |
| Yes, we offer free trial for 7 days. There is no difference in trial and paid account except you can have trial account only for 7 days. |
| Can I Upgrade and Downgrade my current plan? |
| Yes, you can upgrade and downgrade the plans. You just have to go to your control panel and change the plan. There after the payment will be made according to changed plan. |

| What does SALARY Mean? |
| Regular wages received by an employee from an employer on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis is called as salary. Many salaries also include such employee benefits as health and life insurance, savings plans, and Social Security. Salary income is taxable by the federal, state, and local government, where applicable, through payroll withholding. |
| What do Allowance Means? |
Allowances are fixed sums of money paid regularly in addition to salary. An amount that is allowed or granted is called as Allowance. There are three types of allowance.
- Taxable allowance, partially
- Exempted allowance
- Fully – exempted allowance

| What is Permanent Account Number (PAN)? |
| Permanent account number is a unique identification number by which the Income Tax Department identifies any assessee. PAN consist of ten alpha numeric characters, and has to be taken by every individual who is employed. This is a mandatory requirement before submitting the annual income statement to the Income Tax Department. |
| How to calculate House Rent Allowance (HRA) and exemption thereon? |
From the House Rent Allowance (HRA) received as part of salary during the year, least of the following three amounts is exempted from tax (or not included in income):
- HRA allowance actually received
- Rent paid –10% salary (Basic + DA forming part of salary + commission as a % of turnover)
- 40% of salary (50% for Metro city)

| What is Transport allowance / Conveyance Allowance? |
| Transport allowance for traveling from residence to work place up to Rs 800 per month is exempted. For a person with physical disability the amount is Rs. 1600. |
| What is Children Education Allowance? |
| Children Education Allowance is exempted up to Rs. 100/- per month per child up to a maximum of 2 children. |
| What is the concept of CTC? |
| Any amount that company spends for the benefit of its employee can be calculated under Cost to Company. Along with salary, CTC may include medical insurance, accident policy, subsidized lunch / food, any attire / apparel / furnishing allowance etc., PF, Gratuity. |
| What are the statutory deductions from salary? |
| PF, ESI, PT and TDS are considered as Statutory Deductions that are to be deducted from salary. |
| What is PF? |
PF means Provident Fund. It’s like a pension and Insurance; a part of your salary is deducted every month and deposited in your Provident Fund Account. If you’re working in a private company then the company pays the same amount as it is deducted from your account and when you leave the company you can apply and withdraw the amount. It's your personal saving. If you are a government employee then you will get your saved PF of your whole life of your service when you retire.
PF amount which is accumulated in the PF Fund is also transferable. Employee can transfer his/her PF account, if the employment changes from one company to company. |
| What is Employee State Insurance (ESI)? |
| The ESI Act has been passed to provide for certain benefits to employees in case of sickness, maternity and employment injury and to make provisions for related matters. As the name suggests, it is basically an ‘insurance’ scheme i.e. employee gets benefits if he is sick or disabled. |
| Applicability of ESI? |
| Wage-limit for coverage under the Act, is Rs.15, 000/- per month (this is monthly salary including all allowances) |
| What is Profession Tax (PT)? |
Profession tax is a state specific tax. Every state will have a slab of rates. PT is collected on profession, trades, and callings or holds any appointment public or private or is employed in any manner in the state for the benefit of the state. Every employee has to pay profession tax based on his earning. Employer deducts the tax from the salary and remits to state government account every month in the specified form.
- PT differs from state to state.
- Some states never comes under the PT
- The payment term also differs from state to state.

| What is Gratuity? |
| Gratuity is a retirement benefit given by an employer to an employee. It is paid for employees at the time of leaving, as a gratitude for the service employee has rendered, provided that the employee has served the company more than 5 years. Gratuity is paid for a retiring employee as well as the employee who is leaving after completing 5 years of service in a company. |
| What is TDS? |
| TDS means Tax Deducted at Source. In the payroll perspective, deducting the income tax of employee to be paid to the government from employee’s salary is TDS. The employer has to deduct and remit the full tax arising out of employee’s salary. For this, employer has to make the estimation at the beginning of the financial year as to what would be the probable income and income tax for each employee based on the earnings, deductions and investments proposed to be made by such employees. This total tax is to be deducted from their salaries over the 12 months between April and March. |
| What is TAN No.? |
| TAN is Tax Deduction & Collection Account Number. For filing the TDS, organization must have a TAN Number. |
| What is Pay slip? |
| It includes employee’s earnings, deductions, tax etc. Or in simpler words, it is a basic reference document for information and transparency on the monthly financials between employee and employer. |

| What is Software-as-a-service (Saas)? |
Software-as-a-service or SaaS is a subscription based Software usage offering which provides you popular Software applications for a usage fees instead of having to buy and install licenses. You can scale up your usage of the system based on number of modules, features, and number of end users as you go along. You only pay for what you use and have the flexibility of upscaling / downscaling at any time. Usually SaaS Software subscriptions are provided on a monthly fee. This is very much akin to utility services like electricity and telecom where you don't need to own any of the infrastructures, you just flick on the switch and start using it, and you pay for only what you use.
Companies are no longer burdened with the time-consuming and costly tasks of managing an enterprise-class application infrastructure: no more backups, no more patches, no more Software upgrades, no more purchases of additional disk space and CPU power.

| How is SaaS different from Outsourcing? |
| The SaaS subscriptions are provided to end-user organizations directly. As an end user organization you would use and work with the Hr2Payroll software as if you were using it over your own LAN. Compared to this, outsourcing is the other extreme where all the Software operations and system processing, data updation etc is taken care of by an external agency who would do it on their own in-house Software systems. |
| What kind of Server Infrastructure do I need to run Hr2Payroll? |
